South America 2011 Tour

I am so very excited about this South American adventure with Lomaver Tours. This is the trip of a lifetime and I would love to share it with you!

I can hardly wait to hear my favourite operetta, Lehar's Merry Widow, in the fantastic acoustics of the newly refurbished Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, where people like Pavarotti and Callas have sung, and I'm sort of hoping they'll be doing it in Spanish! That's also where we'll hear Orff's irresistible choral masterpiece, Carmina Burana. And in Chile we've got a dream of a symphony concert in the famous Teatro Municipal de Santiago, modelled after the Paris Opera, with Beethoven's violin concerto and Mahler's Titan Symphony.

Don't even get me started on our Tango evening, or on our jungle trek in Iguazu National Park, where the soundtrack will come from 430 species of birds, as well as a mind-blowing 250 waterfalls! We'll even pop over to Brazil to experience the falls from both sides. And I haven't even mentioned the wine tours, where we'll sample and sip our way through Argentine and Chilean vintages, the gourmet meals, the luxury hotels. Oh, and even a chance to live out all kinds of fantasies when we join the gauchos for a day on the Pampas....
